Privacy
Privacy policy
The short version: this website does not track you. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and no advertising pixels, and loads nothing from any third-party server — the typeface is hosted on this domain. We receive information only when you choose to send it to us.
What this website collects on its own
Nothing. This site sets no cookies, uses no tracking or analytics scripts, and includes no advertising or social-media pixels. There is no account system and no login. It also makes no requests to third-party servers — the fonts, icons and images are all served from this domain, so opening a page does not tell anyone else that you did.
Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical request data — such as IP address, browser type and the page requested — in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use that data to identify or profile visitors.
Information you choose to send us
If you use the contact or volunteer form, we receive whatever you type — typically your name, email address, optional phone number, and your message. We use it to reply to you and to organize volunteering or sponsorship. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it for marketing.
If you telephone us, we receive the number you call from. If you email us, we receive your address and message.
Donations
Donations are processed by a third-party payment platform, not by this website. When you donate you are providing your details directly to that provider, and their privacy policy and security practices govern that information. We receive only what we need to acknowledge your gift and meet our accounting and tax obligations — typically your name, contact details, amount and date.
We do not store card numbers on this website, and we never ask for them by email or text message.
Photographs of the people we serve
We publish photographs only with consent, and never in a way that identifies someone as receiving assistance without their written permission. If you appear in a photograph on this site and would like it removed, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
How long we keep things
General enquiries are kept for 24 months. Donation records are kept for 7 years, which is the usual audit window for a nonprofit.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information through it. Our youth programs are administered in person and with parental involvement.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@differentshadeoflove.org or call (561) 618-0653 and we will respond.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. If we ever add analytics, advertising or a newsletter, this page will be updated before those features go live.
